I was there today and they took out one part of the rock. There is still a rock there that is changing the current. The wave is faster than what rt.3 used to be. In a spud boat you can spin, blunt, & backstab but you have to do it carefully. It's hard to get on it from the river left which used to be the prefered way of catching the wave. The rock creates current going through the old river left eddy. It's easy to get on from the river right side you just can't dig your paddle to deep because it hits the bottom. It's fun but I miss the old rt.3. Hole brothers has been great!

Glad to hear it was removed in time for the Black River Festival this weekend. Does anyone when the downriver race starts on Saturday and what river levels will be?

As per the outfitter, the festival has been postponed until 3rd week in August, NOT July. Check their website as date approaches to confirm. Thanks.
