Heard from a friend that the police and paramedics had the trail at Hubbard closed this afternoon because of a serious kayak accident half way down. Don't know anymore about it but thoughts and prayers that everything is alright.

Bad accident on the Hubbard.
I only know because someone called asking for someone else's number so that family can be notified and the accident can be fully documented by police. that's all I'll say.

I'm sure that the parties involved would appreciate if the larger boating community would refrain from speculation and the usual interweb silliness for a while.

I'm at a loss. I can't stop thinking of all the great times we've shared over these many years, both on and off the water. He was a constant. His unending passion, enthusiasm, generosity and willingness to teach and share. Truly a one of a kind special person. One of the best friends I've ever had. You will be missed by many.
