Hello All;

I wanted to briefly share my current understanding of the 2009 Spring West Release.

I believe it will be on April 11+12th.

The State Park is still closed for the season and will NOT be open.

I do not know about possible parking at the school athletic field.

Zoar and Crabapple will NOT be running commercial rafters down the river.

I do not have confirmation, but believe the gate to the dam will be open for parking up top.

Perhaps someone more local could scout out the various parking options and make some recommendations.

Hi folks....

Quick update. We have NO CONFIRMED release dates at this time. The 11&12th dates were based on conversation and have yet to be confirmed at all.

From what I can see the pool at the Dam is at 56 feet and the ACOE's stated goal is to get it to 25 feet so that Salmon Smolt can migrate down stream.

I have no further info at this time. I am working with persons from the AMC, AE, NEFLOW, VT Paddlers Club and other concerned individuals.

I will post more data as I get it.
