I carry a first aid kit in my kayak in a Nalgene bottle. Has any one come across a comprehensive list of what should be in a Kayaker’s first aid kit? Remember it all has to fit in a Nalgene water bottle. Any ideas tips etc. would be appreciated.

I have no credentials, so see what the ACA suggests. Also it depends on the trip. My basic kit consists of:
Thermal blanket (little metallic thing about size of a cheap poncho)
Assorted bandages
Ace wrap
Ibuprofen and aspirin
Medical tape
Chemical hand warmers
Fire starter

If it’s not already in the boat, any time I go out on open water I also keep at least one hand held flare: signals distress, starts fire, deters wildlife – multi purpose tool!

Inertia: friend or foe?
