2016, L32 Whitewater Park Lockapalooza event is August 20-21.

For anyone that would like to compete in the Saturday events – it is a $20
registration fee for the whole day and gives you the opportunity to
participate in all 4 events (Slalom, Boatercross, Throw Bag competition,
At dusk on Saturday evening we have a special 90 minute video/documentary
offering which chronicles the first descent of the Inga Rapids on the Congo
River by Steve Fisher and his team of expedition paddlers. It is quite a
sight on our outdoor big screen (aka the side of our equipment trailer!) –
and complete with stereo sound! People are encouraged to bring a chair and
some beverages and enjoy – we’ll have the fire pit going.
It’s a festival to celebrate paddling, fun and camaraderie.

Saturday Aug. 20
9:30AM: Begin sign-in, registration
9:30-10:30AM: Slalom practice runs
10:30AM: Racer meeting
11:00AM-12:30PM: Slalom competition (2 runs)
2:00-2:30PM: Break, Playboating demos.
2:45 – 3:15PM: Throw Bag competition
3:30 – 4:00PM: Duck Derby
Open Time, Paddling, Food
8:30PM: Video – “Congo – The Grand Inga Project”
10:30PM: Close Up
Food/refreshments will be available.
Beverages are BYOB, water will be available.
Entry fee: $20 either in advance or day of registration
Sunday Aug. 21
Open 10:00AM – 5:00PM
Open paddling, all day, fee free
Slalom event for anyone interested.
Taste of Kayaking: 1 hour sessions, free to anyone interested, must be able
to swim. Sign-ups available at the event.
