Has anyone paddled the Silver Birch Covert 9.3? And/or does anyone own this boat? I’m wondering how it compares to the Option or Octane 91.

It seems really interesting and I’d love to paddle one (and own one if I had the money free to buy one). That in mind I’d like to know if it lives up to the price tag

Thanks,
Grizz

I own a option and currently outfitting a new Covert. The option is a little better for creeking, The covert is a little longerand faster. It seems better for bigger volume rivers. Option has more rocker and is a little shorter, both have great initial stability.

The Octane 85 is too small for me and the 91 is too big. 5,9 175 lbs. They are different hulls as well. Your more than welcome to try out my canoes anytime to see what works for you.

With all that said, I absolutely love the option, my go to boat for rocky rivers, creeks and take it out on the Dryway as well. The covert paddles very dry and a little faster.
