Even though I moved to San Antonio, Texas, I’m searching for a Superfun I reluctantly sold, before I left. Not realizing I have more year round water withing 45 minutes of my new Retirement home, we have numerous spring fed, crystal clear, 70 degree temperature year round water to play on. Granted, it doesn’t have the steepness, but Class II-III is still fun. I have a newer version Karma for now, but I sure would like to pick up a newer Superfun, and willing to pay $125 towards shipping. Can anybody help an old man out ?

I just wanted to point out something that might make your chances of finding your long lost boat a little better. I fear you might be confusing people by calling it a “3rd Edition Superfun”. Fact is….there is no such thing as a 3rd edition SF. The superfun debuted along with the others in the Fun series in 2004. in 2007 the 2fun, Fun, 4Fun and SF were all updated with a new design (I can’t speak toward the little Fun boats for kids….I just don’t know much about those). In 2010, the 2Fun, Fun and 4Fun all received design updates and then again in 2014, but the Superfun never progressed to a new design past the 2007 model (which was the second iteration). You could continue to buy a brand new SF thru the past recent years….but it was still the old 2007 design.
Just a little bit of Fun Series trivia for ya! I’ve owned a Fun, 4Fun and Superfun over the years so I had a vested interest to learn more about the series over the years. Good luck boat hunting!
Actually, I’ve owned all three versions of the Superfun, from the beginning. The “3rd Generation” was tweaked just enough, but not a duplicate of the larger 4Fun that is now in production. The last Superfun, was added the same newer outfiitting and hardware that’s now in the newer designs. And the color choices as well. I’ve paddled the funs since EJ started producing them. 2015 was my last Superfun, produced that year, when they decided there wasn’t enough market for that size, since the 4Fun added more volume to take on a 230 pound paddler. And Jackson retired the Superfun mold, until more people start complaining, which probably will never happen, due to the newer models he has presented the last few years…..like the Mixmaster, the Funrunner, the Antix, etc…..I’ve also had the newer 4Fun, and was maxing out weightwise, which was hard to believe, until i got in the water. Side by side, they look so similar.
So, we are both right. Basically, I’m looking for the newest version of the Superfun…..2nd or 3rd Edition……

HHmmm…I knew they changed the plastic from crosslinked to linear PE and..with that different plastic..the associated outfitting (welded center rail, etc) but I didn’t think they actually changed the mold at all. They certainly didn’t change it to mirror the 3G molds of the other 2010-2014 Fun boats. I guess the differences must be minute…..
In any case I hope you find it…
The search is over ! I found a new, yellow SuperFun hiding in The dark, waiting for me to rescue it from students at the pool, near Houston. As it turns out, he is picking up his daughter for Spring Break, and he’ll bring my baby 35 minutes away from me. Now…..let the fun begin….
